News Update

Hi there, just to give you a few news items.  Everyone at Aiding Resources has been busy sourcing funds for our projects and in particular the new one we are taking on in Delhi India, a very worthwhile project and we continue to support our other projects in Kenya.    We have 2 fundraising events coming up.

 

COFFEE MORNING - 24th March 2012, at 374 Nutgrove Avenue, Churchtown, 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.  All are welcome.  There is also a raffle on the day with some very good prizes.  Tickets will be on sale €5 for 5 tickets, €10 for 15 tickets.  We will also have a slide show and information on the projects we are supporting.  Hope to see you there.

 

WOMEN'S MINI MARATHON - INVITATION to join the fun on the June Bank Holiday Monday, 4th June.  Run, jog or walk the Mini marathon with your friends and raise funds for AIDING RESOURCES.

 

We are currently fundraising for Kamalini Training Centre, Delhi, India and Kibondeni Catering College, Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa.  Help us give people opportunities to develop their own resources so that they can aspire to a better livelihood and become self-sufficient.

REGISTRATION is now open - official form appears in the Evening Herald every Wednesday and Saturday.  Entry is also available online at www.florawomensminimarathon.ie.  So log on to get registered.  Closing date for entry to the 2012 Womens Mini Marathon is Friday 20th April 2011 or when the maximum number of entries is reached. 

  

Sponsorship cards and T Shirts are now available for collection.  Please contact Antoinette King at Aiding Resources on 01 2980885 or Dympna McGovern on 01 4966119.

 

After the Marathon all participants and helpers are invited to the HARCOURT HOTEL, HARCOURT STREET, Dublin 2 for refreshments.  Looking forward to seeing you all on the day.

Here are some photos from the Act Now Project.  This project was directed at enabling poor women to receive skills training and work ethic specificially : 50 young women for the one year technical courses in hotel, restaurant, and other institutional services in toursim related industry and 100 participants for entrepreneurial course sufficient to give them accesss to opportunies for livelihood and employment.

About Aiding Resources

Aiding Resources funds local initiatives that help to improve the living conditions, nutrition, health and education standards particularly of women and children. What makes us unique is that all money for the projects goes directly to the local project managers. The managers report back to us on the outcome of the project and they specify how the money was spent.
